Wallace awards scholarships

Thirty two high school seniors were awarded scholarships April 7 at Wallace Community College Selma’s Annual Senior Day.
The students each received scholarships for tuition and fees for four semesters to Wallace Community College Selma valued at more than $8,000.
Donitha Griffin, dean of students, presented the scholarships to the students.
“I am quite honored to offer scholarships to students from our service area and look forward to them having a very positive and successful matriculation at WCCS,” said Mitchell.
The scholarship recipients are:
Presidential Scholarship: Garret Grantham, Meadowview Christian; Phillip Goodson, Morgan Academy; Kalimma Muhammad, Selma High; Gabe Denson, Dallas County High; Kinsley Mott, Meadowview Christian.
Academic Scholarship: Harvetta Mitchell, Keith High; Cameron Baggett, Morgan Academy; Zarria Howard, Selma High; Landen Davis, Morgan Academy; John Taylor, Lowndes Academy.
Technical Scholarship: Jaelyn Dancy, Francis Marion High; Kayla Lawley, Dallas County High; Ka’Cee Goodwin, R.C. Hatch High; Nathan Price, Maplesville High; Sierra Lewis, R.C. Hatch High-Talent Search; Christian Ezelle, Morgan Academy; Dominique Oliver, Central High; Amber Ford, Calhoun High; Kyha Thomas, Dallas County High-Talent Search; Lorene Hardy, Selma High; Trace Hamrick, Southern Academy; Joseph Jones, Dallas County High; AnJania Smelley, Southside High; David Whetstone, Dallas County High.
