Alliance food pantry in need of volunteers, donations
Published 8:50 pm Thursday, June 8, 2017
The Christian Outreach Alliance Food Pantry has been around since 1995 serving the people of Selma and Dallas County.
Currently, the Alliance is looking for volunteers that can help between 9:45 am. and noon on Thursdays to distribute food.
Besides volunteers, they can always use monetary donations, canned food and plastic bags that the food is handed out in. The volunteers that run the pantry help hundreds in our community that otherwise would not have the means to get food.
We hope that people will see the need and do what they can, even if it is just collecting bags, to help better serve people in the area.
The Alliance is located at 700 J.L. Chestnut Blvd. Food distribution is from 10 until noon.
Those needing assistance can bring a photo ID and a recent, within one month, gas, electric, garbage or water bill with a name and current address.
