William E. Lightfoot

Dr. William E. Lightfoot, DC, age 69, passed away Friday, Aug. 18, 2017, in a Montgomery hospital.
Born a Midwesterner with a southern heart, he loved his wife, children, grandchildren, brothers, family and friends.
His biggest passion in life was his job, practicing chiropractic. He loved his patients and making people better with his own hands.
From his first day at Palmer College of Chiropractic to the last days of his life, his mission in life through chiropractic and God was to make people well. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Bill served in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War.
Bill is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sue Lightfoot; children, Tad (Amy) Lightfoot and Dori (Clint) Norris; brothers, Tom (Maureen) Lightfoot and Gary (Vicki) Lightfoot; and grandchildren, Hannah Lightfoot, Allen Lightfoot and Maddox Norris.
Visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017, at First Baptist Church at 10 a.m. with a Memorial Service at 11:30 a.m. with Dr. Jerry Light officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Lightfoot, Shawn Lightfoot, Ryan Lightfoot, John Lightfoot, Dr. Kirk Skinner, Dr. David Bradford, Dr. John Stevens, Dr. David Below, Dr. Jim Rose and Dr. Stephen Edwards.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 3016, 299 Kings Bend Road, Selma AL 36701.
