Mr. Berdell E. Spears, 49, of Selma, passed away Sept. 2, 2017, in Selma. Services are scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Church of the Living God on Alabama Avenue with pastor David Stockmon officiating.

Burial will follow in Lorenzo Harrison Cemetery with Randall Miller Funeral Service directing.

He is survived by his wife, Gertis M. Spears; mother, Ovetta Seay; three sons, Christopher Munford, Alan Williams and Kayden Williams; three brothers, James Spears, Patrick Hatcher, and Timothy Spears; two sisters, Joslyn Kenedy and Stacey Spears; two grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
