A 74-year-old Selma man was killed Thursday afternoon in a single-vehicle car accident in Autauga County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Corporal Jesse Thornton, a public information officer with the Alabama State Troopers, said John Percy Daves was killed when the 1931 Ford Model A he was driving left the roadway and overturned.

Thornton said Daves was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The crash happened around 4:30 p.m. on Autauga County Road 15 around 15 miles west of Prattville.

Thornton said no other information is available.

Alabama State Troopers will continue to investigate the crash.
