The Martin Middle School robotics team thanked law enforcement officers and first responders for all they do Friday with a fish fry at the school.

The theme for this year’s team is about first responders, so they were inspired to honor them.

It was great to see law enforcement officers mingling with students and enjoying themselves Friday. There are great officers in Dallas County, and they deserve to be honored for all they do for the community. Police officers, sheriff’s deputies, firefighters and EMTs were all treated to a meal.

We’re glad to see first responders getting a chance to relax and spend some time with the community. We’re sure it meant a lot to them to see students wanting to thank them.
