Editorial: Three children adopted by foster parents

Monday morning in the Dallas County Probate Office was a happy one as three young children were adopted by their foster mothers, Dorene Mitchell and Ida Morgan.
The children and their parents couldn’t have been any happier as the adoption process was completed. Congratulations to both families.
Adoption is a long, tedious process, and rightfully so. The Department of Human Resources wants to make sure it finds the right parents for the right children. According to www.adoptuskids.org, there are an estimated 400,000 children in foster care in the United States. It is great to see foster parents in Dallas County making a difference and giving their foster children a place they can call home forever.
We encourage anyone interested in adopting to call Andrea Dudley with Dallas County DHR to ask about the process.
