A man was grazed in the head by a bullet Saturday following an altercation in the parking lot of a Selma business.
The incident happened around 12:30 p.m. in the Marvin’s parking lot.
According to Lt. Tory Neely with the Selma Police Department, the victim was transported to Baptist South in Montgomery and is in stable condition with not life threatening injuries.
“One guy pulled out a cut-down assault rifle and shot the other guy in the head, grazing him,” Neely said.
The suspect was identified as Stephen Andre Woods, but Neely said the department wouldn’t be able to get a warrant for his arrest Saturday.
The shooter fled the scene, but the victim was able to identify him to authorities.
“We are out looking for him now,” Neely said. “We are looking to get him in custody.”
Marvins was expected to be closed for the rest of Saturday.
“The district manager advised they would be closed for the rest of the day,” Neely said.
