June Meyer Calame passed away on Jan. 15, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee N. Calame Jr.

She is survived by her children, Lee N. Calame III (Wanda), John C. Calame (Janet) and Jessica Singleton; and her nephew, Edwin R. Calame Jr. (Cindy).

She has six grandchildren, Amanda Hood (Jerry), Matt Calame (Amy), Lee Calame IV (Kea), Abby Stewart (Jeb), Carolyn Singleton and Christopher Singleton; along with great-grandchildren, Olivia, Christian, Daniel and Victoria Hood, Lauren and John David Calame, Kylie and Margaret Calame, Claire Stewart and Isabella Singleton.

The family is also grateful for the love and support of Ms. Liz Glass, Ms. Sandra Shoultz, Ms. Eloise Minniefield and the Rev. Daniel Martin.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 18, at 1 p.m. at New Live Oak Cemetery with the Rev. Lance Eiland and the Rev. Daniel Martin officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers will be Edwin R. Calame Jr., Matt Calame, Lee Calame IV, Jerry Hood, Christian Hood and Jeb Stewart.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
