EDITORIAL: Library showcases artists, authors and more to the community

This past Thursday marked the beginning of the 2018 Lunch at the Library series at the Selma-Dallas County Public Library. Jamie Alvey, who crafts quilts, baby apparel and other items, kicked off the 2018 series by talking about her passion for quilting.
These events give artists like Alvey a platform to share what they are doing with the community.
It also gives people looking for something to do a chance to get out of the house and learn, meet others and enjoy a nice lunch.
Chef Harry Dominick from the Edmundite Missions is up next for the Lunch at the Library series. He will speak there on Feb. 8.
If you haven’t been to one before, make sure to check it out.
