There is still time to register for the AIDT Leadership Skills 1 Training program on Sept. 5 and Sept. 6 beginning at 9 a.m. at the Selma-Dallas County Public Library.
AIDT is a division of the Alabama Department of Commerce.
“This workshop is not designed to teach you how to be a leader, but to raise your consciousness about things you do everyday that affect your employees and the workflow,” said Selma and Dallas County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Sheryl Smedley. “It is structured to provide the foundation and motivation to begin developing and improving your leadership skills.”
The course will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.
This two day course will focus on skills that all leaders need to be more effective. Seats are limited to 25 participants.
Attendees must be present both days and pass a written exam at the end of the course to receive AIDT’s Certified Leader I Certification.
Modules include leading people, roles and responsibilities, situational leadership, five critical leadership skills, setting goals, communication, teamwork and leading multiple generations.
There will be a $25 fee to cover snacks and lunch, which is due before the class start date.
This event is sponsored by the Selma and Dallas County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism.
To register, call the chamber at 334-875-7241.
