The No. 6 Morgan Academy Senators held their spot in the top-10 rankings this week after defeating now No. 9 Tuscaloosa Academy 24-21. The Senators regular season is now complete since Lyman Ward forfeited this week’s game. At 9-2, Morgan Academy earned its best regular season record since the 2005 championship season when the program went 9-1 in the regular season. The Senators are slated to matchup against No. 10 Macon East (7-2) for a home game in the first round of the AISA state playoffs on Friday, Nov. 2. Macon East was 0-2 against ranked opponents (Pike Liberal Arts and Monroe Academy) this season.

In AHSAA Class 1A action, Ellwood Christian Academy will go on the road to face No. 2 Linden on Thursday, Oct. 25
