SouthernCare New Beacon Hospice chose Bloom House as their fourth-quarter service project.

“This month, Kristin Jones, the director of the Bloom House, requested duffle bags for the children,” said Beverly Morgan, the director of operations at SouthernCare. “We collected around 40 in all to send to them.

“Next month we will either do pajamas or coats because winter is coming,” Morgan said. “Then we will also adopt a child to help his foster experience. We plant to do that in December. At SouthernCare we feel the need to give back to the community, and service projects is a big deal to us. We are here to serve them not only in hospice but through foster children as well.”

The public can also help with the Bloom House.

The main need is winter coats.
