On Thursday night, Selma City School Superintendent Dr. Avis Williams addressed the public with the state of the school system.

We are proud of the progress the school system has made since Williams took the position as superintendent.

With the plans for R.B. Hudson and the possible consolidation, changes are happening in the school system.

We should support Williams and the Selma City School Board of Education as they make decisions, and know they have the best interest for the school system in mind.

Change is scary but necessary to move forward.
