Several winners crowned at Valley Grande Christmas Pageant

The second annual Valley Grande Christmas Pageant had winners in four different categories on Thursday at Martin Middle School.
Melanie Ochoa was named Miss Valley Grande Queen and selected for having the prettiest smile in the 10-12 age group. Hailey Madison Maughan was the runner-up and voted for having the prettiest hair. Mallorie Marie Blackmon was the second runner-up. Mary Grace Corey was the third runner-up and voted best dressed. Lauren Dailey was named Miss Photogenic, Little Miss Christmas Angel and voted for having the prettiest eyes.
Lillian Stacey Yeager was named Queen in Little Miss Valley Grande, the 7-9 age group and voted for having the prettiest hair. Ellie Grace Carroll was runner up, Miss Photogenic and voted for having the prettiest smile. Cecilia Kathryn Blackmon was second runner-up and voted for having the prettiest smile. Trinity Paige Sudsberry was named Little Miss Christmas Angel. Natalie Claire Alexander was voted for having the prettiest eyes. Mackenzie Ames Oates was third runner-up.
Harper Shane Lee was crowned Queen in the Tiny Miss Valley Grande, the 4-6 age group. Ann-Miller Howe was named runner-up, Miss Photogenic and voted for having the prettiest smile. Emery Alyssah Patterson was named second runner-up. Tessa Reana Brown was the third runner-up and voted for the prettiest eyes. Harper Leigh Atchison was voted best dressed, Addalyn Claire Blackmon earned Tiny Miss Christmas Angel and Kayleigh Hobson was voted with the prettiest hair.
Kashlyn Taylor Burton was named Queen of Baby Miss Valley Grande, the 3-year-old and younger division. Burton was also named Miss Photogenic, Baby Miss Christmas Angel and having the prettiest hair. Collins Stacey Wells was first runner-up and had the prettiest eyes. Olivia Ann Morton was the second runner-up and named best dressed. Malyn Delaine Thortnon was voted with the prettiest smile. Adley Hope Smitherman was named third runner-up.
Valley Grande Council member Tammy Troha, who coordinated the pageant, was pleased with how things turned out.
“We had a great response,” Troha said. “I want to thank the city of Valley Grande.”
Valley Grande Mayor Matt Dobbs also thanked local residents and judges Wendy White, Sara Swigart and Lori Hudgins.
“I appreciated the judges for coming out, I couldn’t imagine having the heart and responsibility to judge a pageant,” Dobbs joked.
