A Selma family is coping after the loss of their home after a fire started in their attic on Thursday night.

Tiffany Marie said the fire made her and her family lose everything.

“We already have had enough going on in our family due to sickness,” she said. “This just added to the stress especially since it happened right before Christmas. I want to take the time to thank each and every one of the firefighters that battled the fire that took our family home from us. Being a first responder is never an easy job and each time I know those guys leave home they never know if they will return. We didn’t have any insurance on our home and we will have to pay to have the lot cleaned. There’s a GoFundMe page setup and any donation is always appreciated.”
