Help the ALSDE end hunger

The Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) is looking for help.
Help to end hunger for some school-aged children during the summer months.
While sponsors are generally community organizations, such as schools, faith-based organizations and other non-profits, willing to provide free meals to needy children, anyone can become involved with these organizations to help feed the students that do not have the adequate food for the summer months.
Right now, Alabama ranks sixth nationally for child hunger. Two years ago, the state was ranked fourth and some 271,000 children across the state rely on these services in order to get a meal each day.
Each helping person and organization can collectively make a difference.
