A feature film, slated to begin filming in March, is being cast in Montgomery and organizers are on the hunt for local talent to fill a number of supporting roles.
Angie Soule, who is assisting the casting crew in finding local actors, said the film will be on Alabama history and will be filmed in its entirety in Montgomery.
“It’s a great project,” Soule said. “I would strongly suggest people be involved.”
Soule noted that the crew is currently being tight-lipped about the premise of the film, but more details will surface in the coming weeks.
“It’s going to be a story that hasn’t been told before,” Soule said.
The casting crew is seeking locals of all genders, races and ages to fill a few speaking roles and a number of positions as extras.
People interested in being considered should send a close-up photo, full body photo, resume and contact information to SOTScasting@yahoo.com by 10 a.m. on Feb. 18.
Those who are chosen will be asked to audition in person shortly thereafter.
Because filming is set to begin in March, Soule said people should expect a quick turnaround, likely being notified by the afternoon of Feb. 18.
