Just in time for the busy Jubilee Bridge Crossing weekend, a new restaurant is celebrating a grand opening in our city.

New businesses that come into Selma have taken a chance on us, and we should, in turn, give them the same chance.

Black Sheep Kitchen and Catering’s grand opening will be March 1 from noon-1 p.m. located at 1205 Alabama Ave. in the former Phat Philly space.

The menu sounds amazing, and any new business that comes into Selma is something that will grow our economy by giving more diversity to the businesses that are keeping our city afloat.

We are excited about the new business and hope that they do well in Selma and hope they are able to achieve their goals of providing restaurant quality meals to disadvantaged communities throughout rural areas of Alabama’s Black Belt region.
