Plein Air Artists ready for weekend show

As part of the annual Historic Selma Pilgrimage, Alabama Plein Air artists have come to Selma ready to use part of the historical houses as their next project in preparation for the Selma Art Guild show on Saturday.
The art show and Wet Paint Sale entitled “Pilgrimage Paintings” will be on Saturday from 4:30-6 p.m. and is located at 508 Selma Ave.
The Pilgrimage features numerous homes in Selma and Orrville.
Tours began on Friday and continue today.
Tours will be at the Vaughan-Smitherman Museum from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.; the Selma Interpretive Center from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; Gillman Hall, The Elliot Cottage and Dr. Sam’s Office from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.; the Old Depot Museum and Sturdivant Hall Museum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the Molette House, Ellis Dunaway House, Mooreland and the Orrville Farmer’s Market from 1-5 p.m.
Headquarters for tickets to the Pilgrimage houses will be at Vaughan-Smitherman Museum located at 109 Union St.
There is no charge for the Wet Paint Sale.
