National Arbor Day is Friday,  April 26 and the Arbor Day Foundation is making it easy for anyone to celebrate the tree-planting holiday.

By joining the foundation, newcomers can receive free shade trees as part of the Trees for America campaign.

The campaign is based upon the Arbor Day Foundation’s belief that “each of us has a responsibility for wise environmental stewardship.”

It is no secret that trees provide the necessities to sustain our life as we know it.

The foundation has been around since 1972 and has grown to become one of the largest nonprofit membership organizations with now over 1 million members and supporters.

If there is anything that is important, it is the preservation of our trees that not only boost the aesthetics of our community but are essential to our well being.
