The winners of Wannabe Rescued’s fourth annual Draw Down will soon be revealed.
The drawing will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Sandbar Restaurant on Friday night.
All 200 of the available tickets have been sold and three lucky winners will go home with a cash prize.
$3,500 will be given to the first prize winner, $1,000 will be awarded to second prize and $500 will be awarded to third prize.
“I’m glad we sold all the tickets,” said Wannabe Rescued member Jenny Tolbert.
The Draw Down is one of several fundraisers Wannabe Rescued Holds every year.
Wannabe Rescued is a non-profit organization that doesn’t receive any money from federal, state or local agencies, which means that every dollar the organization gets comes through fundraising.
Those who purchased tickets don’t need to be present to win, but those that decide to attend Friday night will have a chance to meet Wannabe Rescued dog Rotton Weiler, the Vaughn Regional Medical Center Therapy Dog.
“She’s a Rottweiler and she’s spoiled rotten,” said Tolbert.
Wannabe Rescued is also currently selling tickets for their “Butts for Mutts” fundraiser.
Those interested have until April 24 to purchase a ticket for a Boston Butt ($35) or a turkey breast ($40) just in time for Memorial Day and Mother’s Day.
Pickup for the meats will be Saturday, May 11.
Tickets can be purchased from Wannabe Rescued Volunteers, local Veterinarian’s offices and the Downtowner Restaurant.
