Morgan Academy had five medal winning performances at the AISA State Track last week at the Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium in Gulf Shores.

The Lady Senators finished second in the Girls 4 x 100 Meter Relay behind the running of Maggie Colley, Sarah Thomas, Averee Adams and Peyton Ellen Granthum.

Granthum earned her second medal with a third-place finish in the Girls Long Jump. She nearly captured a third medal, but finished fourth in the Girls 100-meter dash.

On the Boys side, Dione Allen finished second in the Long Jump and finished with two medals. He nearly earned a third medal, but finished fourth in the High Jump.

The Senators finished third in the Boys 4 x 100 Meter Relay behind the running of Holt Utsey, Dione Allen, Ed Williams and Hardin Utsey.

Hardin Utsey finished third in the Triple Jump to finish with a second medal.

In team competition, the Lady Senators finished fifth overall, while the boys’ squad were 10th.
