A Selma resident was arrested Tuesday by the Selma Police Department on three charges.

Kendall Jamal Robinson, 22, was arrested by the SPD’s Criminal Investigation Division(CID) and charged with second-degree domestic violence assault, third-degree criminal mischief and two counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling.

According to SPD Capt. Johnny King, Robinson’s arrest stems from two separate shootings where he allegedly shot into the same occupied residence twice, which was occupied at the time of the shootings outside the city limits.

Robinson was taken to the Dallas County Jail and is held under no bond.

Selma Police Chief Spencer Collier praised the SPD and other agencies for their help in the case.

“Robinson will be held responsible for his ruthless and brutal actions,” Collier said. “We want the community to know that we are working hard with our federal partners to end the gun violence in Selma. This collaboration gives us access to better investigative resources and technology. I am proud of our officers, investigators and the various agencies that are helping us make Selma a better community.”

King said the case is still under investigation by the SPD.
