The new book “Painted Prayers” shows what the future of Selma hopes for their community.

From prayers for the school system to prayers for the eradication of violence in the city, these young artists are aware of the things our community needs.

One student painted a prayer that all the children in her hometown would have the opportunity to learn in a clean and safe school. She also prays that all the schools in her city will be filled with joyful teachers who recognize the importance of their calling to educate.

Another artist wants all children to have someone that is a positive influence in their life.

While these prayers were made by children from Selma, these prayers can go for any community.

These artists are our future, and we should work hard to bring them a Selma that they have been praying for.
