Hats off to our local nurses

On Friday, an outstanding nurse was honored at Vaughan Regional Medical Center for his performance as a caretaker.
Jeb Jackson is a shining example of how nurses should treat their patients.
His compassion shows his true calling to help others in the medical field.
National Nurses Week is May 6-12 and we want to thank our dedicated nurses, nursing assistants, CNAs and our new nursing graduates who work hard to keep us healthy during all different types of health stages.
In 1993, the American Nurses Association declared May 6-12 as the national week to celebrate and elevate the nursing profession.
This celebration is a time for everyone to recognize the contributions and positive impact of America’s 4 million registered nurses.
Each year, the celebration ends on May 12, which also is Florence Nightingale’s birthday.
Being a nurse is no easy task.
The caretakers must put others before themselves and sacrifice long hours to do their job.
