A Dallas Grand Jury found a Selma resident guilty on four charges Friday in the Dallas County Courthouse from an incident three years ago.
Vadarius Hall was found guilty on murder, attempted murder, shooting into an unoccupied vehicle and persons forbidden to carry a pistol from an incident that took place during th summer of 2016. On July 12, Hall was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Miami, Florida.
Hall was wanted in connection to the murder of 27-year-old Jermaine Tarver, of Lowndesboro, nearly a month before his 2016 arrest.
Investigators speculate Tarver was playing cards outside a residence in the police jurisdiction of Townes Circle when Hall approached him about personal property. After Hall and Tarver exchanged some words, police believe Hall retrieved a firearm and shot Tarver multiple times in the torso area. Tarver died at the hospital after he was taken by private vehicle and Hall eventually got arrested in Miami.
According to Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson, the weeklong trial ended Friday in the courtroom of Circuit Court Judge Don McMillian. The jury deliberated for 2 hours, 20 minutes before reaching a verdict.
“We have gotten another gunslinger off the street,” Jackson said.
Jackson said Hall will be sentenced after a Pre-Sentence investigation and report in a few months.
