On Friday, Dallas County Sheriff Mike Granthum spoke to teenagers as part of the Wallace Community College-Selma’s (WCCS) Talent Search Summer Camp.
Granthum sees every part of this county. All the highs and lows are something that isn’t anything new to him.
His wisdom about life in general including the booking, jailing and the justice system served the students well Friday as they asked questions about the operations of the county.
Granthum first touched on the importance of attitudes.
“That’s what life’s all about,” said Granthum.
Granthum stressed the importance of making good choices and warned that bad choices can impact you forever.
Granthum told the students that the presentation would be very informal and encouraged them to ask questions.
Granthum’s advice is something that should be taken not by just the students in attendance at WCCS, but by everyone in Dallas County.
Making the correct choices has such dire consequences and they will be impactful for the rest of their lives.
