‘Jazz on the Grazz’ set for Saturday

The City of Selma’s “Jazz on the Grazz” festival is scheduled to take place this Saturday from noon – 10 p.m.
2019 marks the 8th year in a row that the has provided citizens with an evening of free, live entertainment.
According to Ward 4 Selma City Councilwoman Angela Benjamin, the festival will provide attendees with a day full of good music, friends, food, fun and fellowship.
Attendees can expect to find vendors selling food and other merchandise as well as activities for both children and adults.
Children can look forward to water play, a train ride, temporary tattoos and balloons.
Adults can look forward to an evening of live music begining late in the afternoon.
According to a press release by Benjamin, the evening will feature smooth and mellow jazz preceded by live blues.
Though the event is free of charge, attendees are still encouraged to bring a few items such as a lawn chair or blanket for sitting as well as a change of clothes for children who have participated in the water play.
It’s expected to be a bright, sunny day on Saturday, so patrons are also encouraged to bring a hat or cap as well as a pair of sunglasses.
