Selma resident charged with attempted murder

A bond hearing was held for a Selma resident Wednesday in the Dallas County Courthouse on attempted murder charges.
According to Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson, Marico Lee, 38, was arraigned on charges of attempted murder and discharging a gun into an occupied vehicle.
Dallas County District Court Judge Bob Armstrong set Lee’s bond is at $250,000.
Jackson said the incident took place on May 19 in the George Washington Carver (GWC) Homes. Jackson also said the two men shot the victim, adding that Lee and the victim allegedly argued over a woman.
Jackson said the victim is now in a vegetative state. Jackson did not identify the victim.
Jackson said that the Selma Police Department (SPD) is still searching for the second suspect.
