Keith nips Vincent, improves to 2-0

Running back Quintavious Woods ran for over 120 yards and scored two touchdowns as Keith High beat Vincent 28-19 on Friday night.
Woods scored on runs of 30 and 70 yards. Quarterback Jared Edwards scored on a 40-yard run. Keyshawn Tolbert scored on a 80 yard kick return.
“It’s a good feeling to be 2-0,” Bears coach Anthony Lumpkin said. “We still have things to clean up, but we’re playing good enough to win.”
Keith stays on the road next week, travelling to Linden.
McAdory 58, Dallas County 0: Head coach Heath LeVert lost in his Dallas County debut.
The Yellow Jackets jumped out to a 38-0 halftime lead and never looked back.
The Hornets travel to Montevallo next Friday.
Beulah 56, Ellwood Christian Academy 0: The Eagles dropped their season opener on the road.
ECA coach Migueal Catlin said the Eagles’ inexperience showed throughout the contest.
“Our offensive line and defensive line have to improve,” Catlin said.
The Eagles have an open date next Friday.
Russell Christian 51, Meadowview Christian 0: The Trojans’ six turnovers led to all of Russell Christian’s points.
“We turned it over and they capitalized,” MCS coach Bob Taylor said. “We also blew some coverages. Russell Christian has a good team.”
MCS travels to Jackson next Friday.
