DCBOE budget shows high school allotments

The Dallas County Board of Education approved the budget for the 2020 fiscal year, beginning Oct. 1 and continuing through Sept. 30, 2020, last week at its regularly scheduled board meeting.
The following is a closer look at the foundation program totals for each of the Dallas County School System’s three high schools- which includes Keith Middle-High School.
The foundation program total for Dallas County High School, with a projected enrollment of 436 students, is $2,307,114.
$1,605,499 of the total goes to the salaries of the school’s 45.48 employees.
$629,597 of the program total goes toward fringe benefits.
Classroom Instructional Support for Dallas County High School totals $72,018 with $18,024 allotted for teacher materials and supplies, $10,514 for technology, $4,738 for library enhancement, $3,004 for professional development and $35,738 for textbooks.
The foundation program total for Keith Middle-High School, with a projected enrollment of 236 students, is $1,171,050.
$816,461 of the total goes to the salaries of the school’s 33.2 employees.
$318,077 of the program total goes toward fringe benefits.
Classroom Instructional Support for Keith Middle-High School totals $36,512 with $9,042 allotted for teacher materials and supplies, $5,275 for technology, $2,377 for library enhancement, $1,507 for professional development and $18,311 for textbooks.
The foundation program total for Southside High School, with a projected enrollment of 302 students, is $1,640,020.
$1,139,810 of the total goes to the salaries of the school’s 44.7 employees.
$449,755 of the program total goes toward fringe benefits.
Classroom Instructional Support for Southside High School totals $50,455 with $12,960 allotted for teacher materials and supplies, $7,560 for technology, $3,407 for library enhancement, $2,160 for professional development and $24,368 for textbooks.
