Powell said that the goal of Selma City School’s STEAM focused learning is to ensure each of its scholars graduate ready for college and career.

“One of the main things for our scholars is to be able to solve problems,” said Powell. “We want our scholars to take the education that we give them and use it to solve local issues.”

Selma Rotary Club President James Steele thought the presentation by Williams and Powell was engaging and informative.

“Our future is important. Our kids’ future is important,” said Steele. “The more they learn about how to facilitate the future, the better it is for everyone.”
