All About Our Kids Daycare Center celebrated its 20^th Anniversary Saturday afternoon with food, inflatables and music as both past and present staff members and community leaders gathered to reflect on the institution’s 20-year history.

All About Our Kids raised the funds to throw the celebratory shindig thanks to a successful Fish Fry Fundraiser earlier this month.

All About Our Kids throws a celebration each year to thank the community for the continued support for the preschool.

There were several community leaders in attendance to celebrate the early learning center Saturday including Rev. Garry Lamar Crum, Sr., who led the celebration with an invocation, Dallas County Commissioner Valerie Reubin and Probate Judge Jimmy Nunn.

“It’s good to be over here and celebrate this moment with you all,” said Nunn. “20 years is a milestone.”

Nunn spoke about the importance of daycare centers in the community, stating that they aren’t just a place for kids to be dropped off but an important place in the development of childhood education.

“Most of the time, children spend more time at day care than they do at home,” said Nunn. “We trust our children with you. And if you’ve been here 20 years, then you must be doing a good job.”
