Three cars were involved in a collision Friday morning at the intersection of J.L. Chestnut Boulevard and Broad Street, resulting in at least one driver being carried away in an ambulance.
Officers from the Selma Police Department (SPD), alongside emergency workers from the Selma Fire Department (SFD), were on the scene, where details were scarce.
Several bystanders milled around in the street as SPD officers directed traffic, surveying the damage done to the vehicles and a nearby privacy fence.
Among the wreckage was a black Honda that had crashed into a wooden fence; nearby, a silver vehicle sat with its bumper protruding from an opened window; in the middle of the intersection, a tan Ford SUV with a mangled front end sat leaking fluids across the asphalt.
The SPD is still investigating the crash and more details will be provided when they become available.
