Mr. Willie “Horse” Shanks, Sr., age 65, resident of Selma, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2019 in Selma. Services are scheduled for Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Good Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathan Shanks officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery directed by Randall Miller Funeral Service, Inc. Survivors include: spouse, Tommie J. Shanks; sons, Rev. Jonathan (Ferlisha) Shanks, Willie Lee Shanks, Jr.; daughter, Tiffany Harris; brothers, John W. Shanks, Rethel (Mattie) Shanks, Mark (Julane) Shanks; sisters, Thelma (John) Bryant, Marie Blocton, Arie Lee, Dorothy (Paul) Richardson; sisters-in-law; Millie Shanks, Loraine Shanks, Georgia Sullivan; 17 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; a special friend, Pearl Price.
