Mary Elizabeth Combs age 88 of Selma, passed away on December 28, 2019 at her home. She was born in Alabama on March 6, 1931 to the late Elbert Ross Arthur and the late Dollie Mae Wilson Arthur.

She was a seamstress.

She is survived by her children, Marcus (Elsie) Combs, Wanda Combs, and Wilma (Lloyd) Kynard; grandchildren, Cicely S. Duran, Brannon (Tori) Combs, Jerrod (Lillie) Kynard, and Misty Bailey; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Bobbie Jean Atkins; and nieces, Sylvia Henry, Lynn Mullins, and Tina Meyers. She is preceded in death by her husband, George F. Combs; parents, Elbert and Dollie Mae Arthur; and sister, Lucille Jockish.

A service of celebration was held Saturday, January 4, 2020  at the Selma Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. A visitation was held at Selma Funeral Home followed by a graveside  in Pineview Memory Gardens.
