This March, three candidates will seek to fill the position of Dallas County Tax Collector, which is currently held by Tammy King, who will not seek reelection.
Kourtnie Nelson, Tankia Neely and Janet Frasier are the three candidates gunning for the spot to be voted upon on March 3.
Frasier, who has served as the city clerk and treasurer for the City of Valley Grande for over 10 years, decided to use her wealth of experience to be a part of the leadership of Dallas County.
Frasier has 30 years of administrative and accounting experience and has served in municipal positions for both the City of Selma and Valley Grande.
In addition to her years of experience, Frasier also holds revenue office and municipal clerk certifications from the University of Alabama (UA).
“I would like to use my experience to serve the entire county,” she said.
Frasier is a lifelong resident of Dallas County. She was born in Dallas County and has raised her own family within its borders.
“I love Dallas County,” she said. “This is my home and I care a lot about it.”
For the entirety of her career, Frasier has been dealing with the public and, if elected tax collector, she would like those who visit the tax collector’s office to have a pleasant experience.
“I absolutely enjoy working with people,” said Frasier. “I want to help them understand and address any questions or challenges they may have.”
“If they vote for me,” said Frasier. “I’m going to work for the people. I’m confident in my level of experience and I’m eager to assume office. I will work wholeheartedly to serve the people of Dallas County.”
