The city of Valley Grande is working to repair its lagoon.
The City Council unanimously voted to start Phase I to start repairing the lagoon at its council meeting on Tuesday.
Dobbs said the first phase of lagoon repairs will cost $26,400.
The city council passed Resolution 2020-107, a Concession bid for the Valley Grande Sports Complex. Andrea Holley won the second bid by $2.02 over Charles Oates Jr. Holley’s bid was $2,222.22, slightly over Oates’ amount of $2,220.20. Their first bids were $1,600.
The city council approved its annual $2,500 Chamber contract.
The entire city council was present: Mayor Matt Dobbs, council members Ronnie Sawyer, Jimmy Johnson, Lamar Morgan, Tim White and Tammy Troha. Assistant City Clerk Kim Harris filled in the absence of City Clerk Janet Frasier.
The council meeting was held Tuesday because Martin Luther King Jr. day is a holiday and fell on the original day for the meeting.
The next city council meeting will be held on Feb. 3 at 6 p.m. at Valley Grande City Hall.
