Ruth Edna Green Kilmury, 83, widow of Retired USAF Major Alvin Charles Kilmury to whom she was married in 1953, died Monday, February 24, 2020, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. Born in Clanton, she was a daughter of the late William Thomas Green and Vera Kemp Green.
Surviving are two children, Sharon K. Wood (David) of Sumter; Bruce A. Kilmury (Anita) of Lexington, South Carolina; two sisters, Frankie Waltz and Lee Bills both of Selma; five grandchildren, Heidi Marie Wood (Chris), Wayne A. Kilmury, Murray A. Kilmury (Leanza), Owen Kilmury (Abby), Catie Kilmury; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; special family members, SMSGT Retired USAF William D. Koppenhaver (Barbara), Patricia, Christine, David and Scott of Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
She was preceded in death by a son, Murray A. Kilmury; two sisters and three brothers.
She will be laid to rest in Chilton County, AL at a later date.
