A Selma man was arrested this week for assault charges stemming from a gunfight.
Shajuan Rhodes was charged with first-degree assault during an early Sunday morning shootout where a woman got shot, according to Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson.
Jackson also said Rhodes shot Loveless Alexander and the incident took place at Mid City Mart, located on 907 Broad Street.
Bond was set for Rhodes at $60,000 and he made bond.
“This appears to be a shooting over a woman,” Jackson said. “They have beefing about this for several months. We are not going to allow gunslingers to turn Selma into the OK Corall.”
Rhodes’ previous arrest came in the Queen City in January for third-degree domestic violence.
