A Prattville man remains locked in the Dallas County Jail for impersonating a police officer.

Sean Payton Lann was arrested by the Selma Police Department last week on two counts of impersonating a police officer, third-degree robbery and third-degree criminal mischief.

At a bond hearing on April 9, Dallas County District Court Judge Bob Armstrong kept Lann’s bond at $51,000 for those four charges.

“The person was pulling people over, impersonating officer, hit someone, then jumped out, said he was a police officer and took their keys and mail and fled,” Selma Police Chief Kenta Fulford said. “He did not take their car. The victim called police and they apprehended him near Southside High School. He’s wanted by the state and county.”

Armstrong set Lann’s preliminary hearing date for June 2 at 1:30 p.m.

“He can now impersonate a prisoner in the Dallas County Jail,” Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson said.
