Gospel Tabernacle Church of God in Christ (COGIC) held a Drive-Up Worship Service on its front lawn Sunday morning.
In the parking lot, members of the congregation either sat in lawn chairs or inside their vehicles, all wearing masks and practiced social distance. Members unable to attend Gospel Tabernacle can watch the service online on Facebook.
Gospel Tabernacle members Tonel Mack, Paulette James, Fredrica Spivey and Tranita Mack all sang before Pastor John E. Grayson delivered a sermon.
Grayson told the audience he was grateful they attended the worship service, especially during the difficult times of the coronavirus. He was also grateful that God provided with an audience to hear his sermon.
Gospel Tabernacle Church, located on the block of 2300 Summerfield Road, holds Online Bible Study every Wednesday, usually around 5 p.m.
