City Council President candidate, Money Tax Services give away school supplies

Selma City Council President candidate Wil Jackson partnered with Money Tax Services to provide book bags full of school supplies for Dallas County students.
Hot dogs and soft drinks were served at the three-hour event on Saturday at Money Tax Services where other candidates attended before Tuesday’s Municipal Election.
Selma City Councilman candidate Javares Whitley in Ward 4 is a consultant and Tax Preparer for Money Tax Services. Phyllis Houser, the Incumbent in Selma School Board District 3.
Jackson said the giveaway is a big part of his campaign slogan, “We’re building a stronger Selma.”
“We decided to partner with Money Tax Services to make sure the children had school supplies,” Jackson said. “We have to look after our children.”
“We wanted to make sure the kids have school supplies for their virtual learning,” Whitley said.
