Three organizations in Dallas County should be commended for giving back to the community.

LIFT Ministries, Selma AIR and Blackbelt Wellness Center all teamed up in donating soap and deodorant to the inmates at the Dallas County Jail last week.

Selma AIR’s Larry Cowan, William Callens of Blackbelt Wellness and LaTangilia Williams of LIFT Ministries donated the supplies to Dallas County Sheriff Mike Granthum, Dallas County Warden Quintin Stevens, DCSO officer Tracey Sanders and Chief Matron Willia Phillips.

Granthum said the DCSO appreciates the donations and it shows the inmates that someone’s thinking about them.

It marks the second time that Williams and LIFT Ministries have stepped up to the plate for the Dallas County inmates. LIFT Ministries, along with Snow’s Cleaning Service, donated supplies to the inmates for Father’s Day.

We enjoy seeing organizations like LIFT Ministries, Selma AIR and Blackbelt Wellness Center volunteer their time to help improve conditions in the community. We need all the help we can get in times of the COVID-19 pandemic.
