Morgan Academy moves up two spots in this week’s Alabama Sportswriters Association (ASWA) weekly Top 10 prep football poll.

The Senators (7-2) plays host to Hooper Academy in its first-round AISA playoff game on Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. at Morgan Stadium.

Senators stars from last week’s win over Fort Dale Academy: Holt Utsey (129 yards rushing, three touchdowns), Davis Vardaman (10 total tackles), Scott Lalone (11 total tackles).

Four offensive linemen carried the ball and three scored: Matthew Free, Perrin Utsey and Kenneth Nichols. Clayton O’ Shields also carried the ball.
