Gospel Tabernacle Church in God overcame the break-in its Food Distribution Center to feed the homeless on Thanksgiving Day.
Gospel Tabernacle Pastor John E. Grayson, his wife, Dr. CeCe Grayson and church members delivered cooked hot meals, blankets and knit hats to 25 members of the homeless at the Old Samaritan Hospital.
Pastor Grayson said he did not let the Tuesday night theft of chickens, turkeys and hams ruin the Thanksgiving holiday.
“I love Thanksgiving, I love Christmas, I love the holidays,” Pastor Grayson said. “We praise God for being alive. We’ve had a tough year, but God is still good. We are God-focused and we’re going to praise him.”
Gospel Tabernacle opened Thanksgiving Week teaming with Rural Health for COVID-19 testing and giving away food boxes in in its parking lot.
