No. 3 Dallas County escapes Keith in overtime
Chance Lee scored 24 points and Dee Ellis added 16 as third-ranked Dallas County turned back Keith High in overtime this week in Orrville.
The Hornets improved to 5-0 on the season, clinching the season series over one of their top rivals.
Unbeaten Dallas County has already beaten Selma High and Southside earlier this season.
Terrell Lumpkin led the Bears (2-6) with 17 points. Victor Millhouse Jr. added 15 points.
Tommy Tisdale III and DeCarlos Moore added 14 points each for Keith, who received votes in the first Alabama Sportswriters Association (ASWA) poll of the season
Keith High girls 42, Dallas County 38: Tanika Smiley led the Lady Bears with 16 points. Jakayla Moore added 14.
The Lady Bears have also beaten Dallas County twice this season.
