The Dallas County Sheriff Office is searching for an elderly Dallas County man.
Thomas Houston, 84, has been missing since Christmas Day. Houston is an African-American man who stands at 6-foot-3 and weighs 235 pounds.
Dallas County Sheriff Mike Granthum confirmed that Houston was last seen on Dec. 24 at the 1202 block of Harville Road in Selma. Law enforcement believe that Houston could have left his residence in a silver 1998 Honda Accord with a black door.
“How we found out about it was that Houston’s neighbor noticed his car hasn’t been there for four days between Dec. 25 and Dec. 29 and they called us,” Granthum said.
Granthum said that Houston’s daughter hasn’t heard from him and it hasn’t been activity from the bank or credit card.
“Nobody has seen or heard from him,” Granthum said. “ We heard that he often goes to Thomaston. He’s in fairly good health. We dont suspect foul play or suspcious activity, but we treat every missing person as if foul play was involved.”
Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson said that the Task Force is assisting the DCSO in the investigation.
“Hopefully, he will be found unharmed,” Jackson said.
