Selma High girls make debut in ASWA Poll

Two Dallas County public school teams are ranked in the Alabama Sportswriters Association (ASWA) basketball poll.
The Selma High girls are ranked fifth in Class 5A. The Lady Saints (3-1) knocked Area 5, Class 5A rival and No. 1 Central Tuscaloosa.
Dallas County High, the other local team ranked, slipped from third to sixth after falling at Bibb County.
Keith High was ranked last week in Class 1A, but fell from the poll after losing to Southside.
The Selma High boys basketball team was nominated for the Class 5A boys poll. The Saints are 3-2, 2-1 in Area 5, Class 5A.
Morgan Academy (4-7) was also nominated for the AISA Top 10 poll.
